Raamayana characters revamped in Raavan
Saturday, May 15th, 2010Raavan is a modern version of the Ramayana with reference to Raavan kidnapping Seeta and Ram going in search of his wife. It is one of the most awaited films by filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The film has been shot in both Hindi and Tamil versions simultaneously. Abhishek plays the character of Raavan in Hindi while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is playing the character of Sita in both the version. Abhishek who plays the title role in Mani Ratnam’s modern version of Ramayana feels it was the most difficult film of his career. Music genius AR Rahman has scored Raavan music. The song Kata Kata is one of the main attractions when it comes to songs. It was shot with 500 dancers in Jhansi. South Indian superstar Vikram plays Ram in the Hindi version thereby making his debut in Bollywood. Vikram who plays Ram in the Hindi version, plays Raavan in the Tamil version.
