Monday, August 2nd, 2010We’ve always thought that the family that eats together, stays together. But the new-age mantra is that the cast that works together, parties together!
We caught Sonam Kapoor enjoying the show screening with the cast members of her latest film, including Lisa Haydon, Amrita Puri, Ira Dubey, Cyrus Sahukar and Arunoday Singh. Likewise, Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, who too are part of a film, were spotted at Arpita’s screening.
The vampires had been let loose again and Mumbaikars couldn’t seem to get enough of them as they flocked to a screening of the latest Hollywood movie in the suburbs.
And the vampires and werewolves seemed to be telly world’s favourite character as a number of them were spotted having a fill of the same. Narayani Shastri, Shruti Ulfat, Mandira Bedi and Kavita Kaushik (wearing a warm shawl over her strapless dress to keep herself warm) made the most of the rainy evening by catching the show. Others seen taking in the enjoyable evening were Pooja Bedi, Parveen Dusanj, Aditya Singh Rajput, Ashvin Mushran, Ninad Kamat, Bunty Walia, Chitrashi Rawat and Bhagyashree. Meanwhile, Arpita Khan hosted another screening of the same film at another venue, where we spotted Niketan Madhok and Atul Agnihotri.

Friday, July 30th, 2010Sonam is truly a fashion victim. The up-and-coming fashionista in fact chose the wrong gear, forcing a near wardrobe malfunction at a promotional event for the film Aisha
Recently, we had posted how Sonam tends to copy Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl fame for her sartorial flourishes. But this latest truly pushes the envelope as far as the ‘fashion victim’ tag goes.
Our lady, usually well turned out, miscalculated perhaps what girth her pants needed to be. Add to this the fact that she might have lost weight (again, more vanity?).
Either way, the pants kept slipping off, and Mademoiselle Kapoor was quite preoccupied with her slipper pantaloons.
Yesterday afternoon, at a promotional event of her film Aisha at a radio station, Sonam Kapoor was dancing and interacting with her fans and the usual crowd of admirers and technicians, when her pants started slipping.
She kept pulling them up again and again, but finally had to resort to pinning her trousers.

Given her feminist leaning, it’s only appropriate that she’s the star of Aisha, which she claims is going to be “India’s first chick-flick”. The film, based on Jane Austen’s novel Emma, stars Kapoor as the eponymous heroine, who makes matches and is a general nosy-parker. Is the 24-year-old a busybody too? “No. I’m definitely not a busybody,” she laughs. “I never interfere in other peoples’ lives, but I do like to set my friends up.
